National Treatment Facilities
Eating disorder treatment involves attention to medical, nutritional, and psychological needs. There are various levels of support to personalize care for each patient.

To give you an overview (and the lingo) for levels of care, here is a brief primer:
Outpatient: Working on a regular basis with an outpatient provider (see provider listings) in individual or family therapy
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): The first step up in level of care. Often IOP programs meet a few days a week for a few hours at a time.
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP): For additional support, PHPs provide full day programming and some supervised meals. Individuals are able to return home or to arranged living at the end of the day.
Residential Treatment: For individuals who would benefit from round the clock care and support, residential treatment provides full day programming, all supervised meals/snacks and provides home-style living arrangements.
Inpatient Hospitalization: If an eating disorder progresses to the point of an individual needing medical stabilization or supervised re-feeding, hospitalization is a needed step prior to stepping down to a lower level of care.
